TWICKENHAM RIVERSIDE
The project involved the careful restoration and refurbishment of a Grade II listed Georgian building, on the river in Twickenham, built in 1806, into a 5,000 sq ft family home. Previously split into two separate units, we obtained planning and listed building approval to merge the dwellings into a single house along with other alterations.
Working closely with the client, and in collaboration with Studio Westmaas, we developed the design based on a clean minimalist style mixed with restored original details. House and Garden called it ‘a really smart’ and ‘beautifully executed’ project.' Jan 2025.
The restoration works included relinking the stairs between floors, moving the kitchen, waterproofing the basement, reinstating windows, panelling and other original woodwork details as well as sensitive structural repairs and reinstatement of plasterwork details.
